Ziel Das Ziel dieses Beitrags ist die Implementierung eines Softwaresystems für die Verarbeitung bibliografischer Materialien, das keine Kenntnisse über ein Format für die Eingabe bibliografischer Daten erfordert. Das bedeutet, dass die Eingabe nicht nur von Bibliothekaren durchgeführt werden kann, sondern auch von anderen Personen wie Autoren bibliografischer Einheiten, Studierenden, Mitarbeitenden usw. Design/Methodik/Ansatz Es wird eine objektorientierte Methodik zur Entwicklung von Informationssystemen mithilfe computerunterstützter Softwareentwicklungstools (CASE) und Softwarekomponenten verwendet. Die Softwarearchitektur ist mehrschichtig und webbasiert. Die Implementierung erfolgt in der Java-Umgebung. Ergebnisse Das Ergebnis ist eine Web-Anwendung, mit der Benutzer bibliografische Materialien katalogisieren können, ohne mit dem entsprechenden Format vertraut zu sein. Dennoch wird der bibliografische Datensatz gemäß dem vorgegebenen Format für die Verarbeitung bibliografischer Materialien (MARC21, UNIMARC usw.) gebildet. Forschungsbeschränkungen/Implikationen Die automatische Erzeugung von Bildschirmformularen für den ausgewählten Datensatz für die Verarbeitung bibliografischer Materialien ist in der vorgestellten Version der Anwendung nicht vorgesehen. Um diese Einschränkung zu beseitigen, gibt es voreingestellte Lösungen, die in die Anwendung integriert werden können. Praktische Implikationen Die Anwendung richtet sich in erster Linie an Forschungseinrichtungen, die ihren elektronischen Katalog und/oder die Bibliografien von Forschenden oder Institutionen bilden möchten. Originalität/Nutzen Die Originalität des Beitrags liegt in der Softwarearchitektur der Anwendung in Bezug auf die mittlere Ebene, also die der Geschäftslogik. Diese Schicht implementiert einen Mechanismus, mit dem verschiedene Sätze von Eingabedaten mithilfe des eindeutigen Objektmodells eines anerkannten Formats für die Verarbeitung bibliografischer Materialien (MARC21, UNIMARC oder andere) auf persistente Daten abgebildet werden.

Practical implications The application is primarily intended for research institutions aiming at forming their electronic catalogue and/or bibliographies of researchers or institutions. Originality/value The originality of the paper lies in the software architecture of the application related to the middle layer, i.e. the one of business logic. This layer implements a mechanism by which different sets of input data are mapped to persistent data by means of the unique object model of an accepted format for the bibliographic material processing (MARC21, UNIMARC, or others).",
