HINTERGRUND: Italien war eines der aktivsten Länder auf dem Gebiet der Flechtenkunde im 19. Jahrhundert. Forscher wie Baglietto, De Notaris, Massalongo und Trevisan stellten relevante Herbarien her, die (zumindest teilweise) bis heute erhalten sind. Die Digitalisierung von zumindest einigen der Sammlungen ermöglicht die Mobilisierung von Informationen aus diesen Exemplaren und die Aggregation der Metadaten in nationalen und globalen Repositorien. NEUE INFORMATIONEN: Dieser Datensatz enthält die Metadaten und Bilder von 594 Exemplaren für 490 infraspezifische Taxa, die zu 31 Ordnungen, 73 Familien und 218 Gattungen gehören und die größtenteils zwischen 1845 und 1856 in Nordostitalien gesammelt wurden. Die Digitalisierung wurde nach einem Workflow von Bild zu Daten zu Web durchgeführt. Die Exemplare wurden digital abgebildet, wobei eine Panoramaaufnahme und ein oder mehrere Details aufgenommen wurden. Die Daten wurden auf Darwin Core standardisiert, wobei die Bilddatenmetadaten gemäß der Simple Multimedia-Erweiterung standardisiert wurden.
