Unter Bezugnahme auf linguistische Beweise, archäologische Entdeckungen und vergleichende Dokumentationspraktiken im Alten Nahen Osten analysiert die Studie, wie Schriftsysteme, Materialien, Schreiberinstitutionen und Archivkulturen zur treuen Übermittlung der heiligen Texte Israels beigetragen haben. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt der hebräischen Sprache, der Rolle der Schreiber, dem Übermittlungsprozess von den ursprünglichen Kompositionen bis zum masoretischen Text und der Bedeutung der Totenmeer-Rollen für die Bewertung der textlichen Konsistenz. Die Studie verwendet eine bibliotheksbasierte qualitative Methodik unter Verwendung von primären biblischen Texten und sekundärer wissenschaftlicher Literatur. Sie schließt, dass die Erhaltung des Alten Testaments ein theologisches Modell widerspiegelt, in dem Gottes Wort durch menschliche Sorgfalt innerhalb spezifischer historischer und kultureller Kontexte aufrechterhalten wird, mit wichtigen Implikationen für moderne biblische Studien, Übersetzung und Glaubensgemeinschaften.
