Zusammenfassung

Die Bewegungen der lithosphärischen Platten wurden für drei Zeitintervalle bis zum frühen Kreidezeit rekonstruiert. Diese Verschiebungen wurden analysiert, um die am besten passenden starre Rotation zu bestimmen, die dann der wahren polaren Wanderung zugeschrieben werden konnte. Die so erhaltene wahre polare Wanderung ist nicht größer als wenige Grad und liegt innerhalb der Größenordnung der beteiligten Unsicherheiten.
